About Kim

Established. Capable. Successful. That was me. And I was ready for what was next.

2008

I was a single mom with two young children, and I decided to start my own coaching business.

After more than twenty years in marketing and business development I went to coaching school and became a business coach. I knew how to create ideas. What I didn’t know was how to be an entrepreneur. So I learned.

I experimented. I figured things out. I stayed up late countless nights tweaking websites, writing email campaigns, and building presentations. That’s what I did back then to be successful. I did whatever it took.

And over time, I built something pretty remarkable. My company, Ready2Go Marketing Solutions, created programs and curriculum that thousands of coaches, consultants, and speakers used in their own businesses.

For nearly two decades I got to work with smart, interesting entrepreneurs and build things I cared about. I loved the business, the strategy, and seeing the big picture.

The crossroad

That part has never changed. But I changed.

At some point I realized I didn’t want to keep building my business the same way simply because I was good at building it.

I had already spent years proving what I could do, so I started asking a different question: What do I actually want now?

The answer was harder than I expected, because there wasn’t really anything wrong. I was successful, prosperous, and happy. But I was ready for something different.

So I asked myself

  • What did I still love?
  • What had I outgrown?
  • What was I doing because I wanted to, and what was I doing simply because I’d always done it?
  • What did I want my days to look like?
  • Who did I want to work with?
  • What kind of work did I want to be known for now?

Those questions eventually led me here.

What Ready2Grow is

It brings together nearly four decades in marketing and business development and more than eighteen years working with entrepreneurs. Strategy. Messaging. Offers. Programs. Client experience. Community. Business models. But also discernment.

I

Fixing versus outgrowing

Knowing when something needs fixing, and when you’ve simply outgrown it.

II

Opportunity versus obligation

Knowing the difference between the two, and being willing to name which one you’re looking at.

III

Can versus want

Knowing that just because you can do something doesn’t mean you still want to.

What I’m doing now

I’m doing it differently now. With more experience, more confidence, and most important, more choice.

I still love the business and the ideas, and I still get ridiculously excited when I can see the answer to something someone has been wrestling with.

There are few things more satisfying than watching someone recognize what is possible for them, and making it happen with me as their guide.

True success is building something that feels like the most authentic and joyful representation of you. Your values, your skills, your life. That’s what I’m doing now.
